Error Message: [Microsoft] [ODBC SQL Server Driver] COUNT field incorrect
One known cause of this error message in Query Analyzer is an illegal apostrophe ( ' ) in a GoldReg custom field. An apostrophe will end a string of words, resulting in a incorrect breaking point in your SQL script.
Solution: Find the custom field that has an apostrophe (for example: Secretary's Name) and delete the apostrophe from the SQL file via the programming pane or the text file you are working with.
Save and execute Query Analyzer again.
